Restoring Mobility, Building Independence across Moldova.

Since 2009 our members, volunteers and rehabilitation specialists have worked street by street in Comrat and the villages of Gagauzia so that people living with locomotor impairments can leave their homes, work, study and take part in public life.

Why we exist

In regional Moldova, a step is often the end of the road.

Outside Chișinău, most public buildings, clinics, schools and shops were built long before accessibility was written into law. A person who uses a wheelchair in Comrat can be physically unable to reach a family doctor, a pension office or a polling station. Mobility equipment is expensive, spare parts are scarce, and repairs often mean months without a chair.

Our association was founded by people who live with these barriers themselves. We combine practical help — equipment, repairs, rehabilitation, transport — with patient, evidence-based advocacy in front of local authorities. We do not replace state services; we make sure people actually reach them.

  • Direct, individual assistance to members and their families
  • Technical accessibility audits for local public institutions
  • Peer support so that no one navigates disability alone

What we do

Four programmes, one continuous line of support
